Opponents to copper-nickel mining in Minnesota have announced they plan to introduce a bill on Thursday called "Prove it First." It would require scientific proof before any copper-nickel mine could be permitted. Ken Notes: Should we tell them this bill has been seriously challenged in Wisconsin??? I get very nervous when mining companies have fines and penalty line items in their budgets. This suggest it is easier to pay the fine than it is to prevent any negative environmental impact.
