Sold Down the River

Please join us on June 4th at 7 p.m. for a FREE online screening of Sold Down the River, a short documentary film that tells the story of Kewaunee County’s drinking water crisis and of the continued environmental exploitation of rural communities. Filmmaker Karen Erbach Lawlor says she was inspired to create Sold Down the River after reading about MEA`s work to obtain justice for Kewaunee County families.

After the film, John Peck, executive director of Wisconsin-based Family Farm Defenders, and Lynn Utesch, Kewaunee Cares, will join MEA staff attorneys Andrea Gelatt and Adam Voskuil to discuss opportunities for progress in the struggle for clean water in Wisconsin.
