Increasingly, radium in public water supplies has become a notable element for other municipalities in suburban Milwaukee — and much of the state, new research from a Wisconsin study has found. One ironic twist is that the levels in Waukesha, a community which was forced to find a solution to meet federally mandated radium limits, may have actually improved, albeit marginally, in recent years, the University of Wisconsin-Madison study suggests.
