MADISON - Wisconsin`s court fight over the state`s lame-duck laws has cost taxpayers $2.3 million in outside legal fees.
That figure will go up because not all the bills are in and some of the five cases that have been filed against the laws are ongoing.
A separate string of lawsuits this year has cost taxpayers another $290,000. In those cases, Republican lawmakers have tried to get involved in lawsuits against the state, to mixed results....
