President Donald Trump’s agriculture secretary said during a stop in Wisconsin that he doesn’t know if the family dairy farm can survive as the industry moves toward a factory farm model.

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue told reporters Tuesday following an appearance at the World Dairy Expo in Madison that it’s getting harder for farmers to get by on milking smaller herds.

“In America, the big get bigger and the small go out,” Perdue said. “I don’t think in America we, for any small business, we have a guaranteed income or guaranteed profitability.”...

Ken Notes: This angers me to no end! I am a pro business fiscal conservative, but reading between the lines, he is suggesting CAFO`s -- and he is wrong or should be wrong!!!!

This is a State built on the shoulders of family farms. Our products are globally known because of family farms. We now need to stand with family farmers and regulate the factory farms that are causing these farms to fail.

CAFOs are bad for the environment. They are bad for the economy. They are bad for our communities. And they are bad for Wisconsin.
