Wisconsin DNR to review wetland permit for Monroe County frac facility


Wisconsin’s environmental protection agency has agreed to reconsider whether to let a Georgia investment company fill Monroe County wetlands for a frac sand processing site.

Ken Notes: Good read, lets hope DNR gets this right. If we are going to have sand mines (and we are), we need to hold them to the fire and make sure they improve the land they effect. The private sector has used the industry to improve transit and other infrastructure, now it should at least it should be our turn.
